Alternative 1

On the following pages are descriptions and detailed maps of each of the alternatives under study in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS).

Alternative 1, the No Build Alternative, would maintain the existing bridge and highway.  Both federal and state environmental regulations require consideration within a DEIS of a no build alternative, which functions as a baseline against which to measure the “build” alternatives.

The maps below, shown at the February 26-28, 2008 scoping update meetings, depict Alternative 1, the No Build Alternative. For faster downloading, we’ve broken the maps into different geographical areas.
