The New York State Thruway Authority and MTA Metro-North Railroad today reminded residents that they will be holding the second round of workshops in the Tappan Zee Bridge/I-287 Environmental Review Alternatives Analysis. This round of workshops, scheduled for July 29 and 30, will focus on the reduced list of bridge and corridor scenarios. These meetings are open to the public.
The first workshop will be held in Westchester County on Tuesday, July 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the New York Power Authority - Jaguar Room at 123 Main Street in White Plains, NY.
The second workshop will be held in Rockland County on Wednesday, July 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Palisades Mall – Adler Room at 1000 Palisades Center Drive in West Nyack, NY.
This round of workshops is an opportunity for the public to join the Project Team in a hands-on session to continue the process by which alternatives will be discussed and debated to identify those which will be studied in greater depth.
Team members for the Tappan Zee Bridge/I-287 Environmental Review will make presentations on the Draft Level 1 screening results for corridor improvements and river crossings, the 15 scenarios proposed for Level 2 screening, and the Draft Level 2 screening process and criteria. These presentations will be followed by a breakout session where participants will have the opportunity to work with Team members to review and comment on these materials. Light refreshments will be provided.
Directions to the workshop facilities may be obtained by calling Howard/Stein-Hudson Associates at 917-339-0488.
The Long List of Alternatives, Draft Level 1 Screening Criteria and Draft Level 2 Screening Criteria have been placed on the project web site (www.tzbsite.com). Please keep checking the site for updates and announcements.
