The New York State Thruway Authority and MTA Metro-North Railroad today announced that they will be holding a series of workshops open to the public on April 8, 9 and 10.

The first workshop will be held in Westchester County on Tuesday, April 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Sleepy Hollow High School Gymnasium at 210 North Broadway in Sleepy Hollow, NY.

The second workshop will be held in Rockland County on Wednesday, April 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Palisades Mall - Adler Room at 1000 Palisades Center Drive in West Nyack, NY.

The third workshop will be held in Orange County on Thursday, April 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Orange County Government Center - Third Floor Legislative Chamber at 255 Main Street in Goshen, NY.

This round of workshops is an opportunity for the public to join the Project Team in a hands-on session to begin the process by which alternatives will be discussed and debated in order to identify those which will be studied in greater depth.

Team members for the Tappan Zee Bridge/I-287 Environmental Review will make presentations on the long list of alternatives for corridor improvements and river crossings, and the draft screening process. These presentations will be followed by breakout sessions where participants will have the opportunity to work with Team members to review and comment on these materials. A light meal will be provided.

Directions to the workshop facilities may be obtained by calling Howard/Stein-Hudson Associates at 917-339-0488.

The Long List of Alternative Elements has recently been completed and will be placed on the project web site shortly (www.tzbsite.com). Please keep checking the site for updates and announcements.
